Other Opportunities for Ministry
YLUMC actively supports and participates in the Walk to Emmaus, a three day weekend that renews and strengthens Christian discipleship. The Walk to Emmaus is a program of the Upper Room, a unit of the Board of Discipleship of the United Methodist Church.
Chrysalis is the youth Walk to Emmaus, open to upper high school students and young adults.
Kairos is a continuing prison ministry, with the purpose of building strong Christian communities within the environment of correctional institutions. The primary objective of the 3 day short course is to prepare selected residents for life in an ongoing Christian community.

Our Leadership Team would like to expand and improve our:
Welcome & Greeting - With Greeters, and Follow-up on new visitors.
Community Service- Provide new home owners information about our church and find new servant avenues to individuals in need.
